Once these birds moult into their adult plumage, the males will have a black line around the neck as well as a pink nape and a longer tail.
The females will have no black line, no pink nape and a shorter tail.

How old is your bird?

Depends on how old your bird is.

Juvenile males, juvenile females and mature females all look very similar. Mature males will have a black and pink/red ring around their neck.

The black eyes suggest that your bird is young which means that you won't be tell from the plumage. The only way to find out their sex is through a DNA test.

Welcome to the forum.

It can take up to three years for your bird's mature plumage to be visible, this is true of your species anyway :) . If you want to find out earlier an avian vet can help you with a blood test.
