Hello. I am not sure if this is the right section to post this, but I hope it is.
My mother has COPD and her birds (a Mealy Amazon and African Grey of 25+ years) will be put in my care in the (far?) future. I have recently married and in the future the birds will be transported from Rhode Island, U.S.A to Germany. The parrots are comfortable with me. We have grown up side by side as siblings. I have researched a lot, and I know I may need CITES permits, proof of ownership, and doctor checks before the flight, but I was hoping that there was someone out there who could offer some first hand experience with transporting a parrot? I know some websites have said that Luthansa Cargo deals with transporting pets, so has anyone else ever used a pet cargo service? Thank you in advance.
