I think i accidentally caused a night fright to my cockatiels. The boy is ok but the girl got blood on the tips of her wings.. What should i do? After they calmed down, i let them sit a bit with The Light on and got them out. I kissed them and scritched them so they could relax. I uploaded sum photos. The night fright happened 10 minutes ago.

Make sure the bleeding, which was probably caused by a broken feather, has stopped. They should be fine and able to go back to sleep if that’s what they usually do at this time.

Make sure they have a night light & be careful if you walk past the cage at night not too cast a shadow or make sudden moves or sounds. Good idea to keep toys or hanging objects away from there sleep perch in case they have a fright so they won't bump thrash into many objects.

Monitor & make sure there is no active bleeding.

A night fright can look and sound scary but it's usually not dangerous. Glad they're ok.
