Advise on weaning

Dear All
My Lola is 9 weeks old and today has started to refuse her milk formula. I hand feed her 4x a day with vegetables and fruit 2x a day. I heard it’s too early to stop formula but each time tried she would shake her head and it will all end up on me and the table. Please help

I would recommend that you still try to hand-feed her 1-2 times per day, even if she refuses, for at least another couple of weeks. Also keep an eye on her weight. It may drop 10-15% but any more than that would be cause for concern. Overall, though, some birds wean earlier and some wean later. As long as she's eating it should be ok.

Try a spoon if the syringe isn’t working. Spoon feeding is nice because baby can self determine how much formula is in their mouth.
