Advice on tiel pair who seem to have stopped bonding

Hey sorry if this is a bit long winded!
So I have a rescue tiel Mouse who I got back in November, she didn't come from the best situation and was stuck into a cage with two boys and was harassed constantly and also grabbed alot by her previous owner so was fearful of people. I spent lots of one on one time working with her slowly and she started to come around quite quickly and was trusting me, loved to be out with my Kaks and would sit on me etc. I decided maybe getting her a younger friend would be good for her confidence as my male kak got a little too boisterous for my liking. Fast forward to February (I think?) I got squid (14 week baby) she's very nervous but a sweet bird. I started slowly introducing, separate cages moving closer together then fly time together etc. They seemed to take to eachother with ease and then moved in together. However all the work I've done working with mouse instantly erased hissing, warnings and shouting at me if I even put my hand in the cage to feed. Neither will come out of the cage to free fly even with the door left open. Now though Mouse also seems to have had enough of Squid and shouts at her if she gets too close to her so I decided to separate them for the time being.

I need advice, squid is quite sociable with other birds (but again I don't trust my Kaks out with my tiels anymore due to my male) I don't want her to be lonely and she's less confident alone but obviously having a worse effect on Mouse. Should I accept maybe Mouse needs cage space for herself and find squid a different more compatible cage mate? I have a decent size flight (100wx180hx65d) cage but I think adding another will just cause more issues especially considering mouses past. Idk I'm just trying to explore every option as I want to do the best by my babies.
(Not new to birds but new to cockatiels)

Maybe your bird was happy to have a friend of her own type - until that friend got snuggly - the snuggles may have reminded her of the harrassment she had at her previous location. The cage size mentioned is fine for 2 cockatiels that have flying time but not for 3. Suggest a 2nd cage in case, but encourage them to share, with the option of not doing so. In time - hopefully the 1st bird will realise the difference between friend snuggles and harrassment.

I would give it a little bit more time and let them stay in separate cages for now if that is what works best for them. Sometimes older birds can find baby birds annoying.

Yeah I have a feeling maybe Squid became a little too much for her, she's so affectionate to other birds. I have another cage which was mouses original cage before they moved in together. So I'm considering giving them their own space. If it came to that I'd have to keep an eye on squid and then maybe consider the possibility of a more suitable cage mate for her. I think mouse may prefer having free time together but having her own cage space. I'll just have to see how things progress but I don't want them to fall out further.

I think mouse likes having a same species friend but prefers having space to herself. It's more squid I'm worrying about whether having the free out time in the day together is enough for her social needs.

I have cockatiels that don't share a cage. They're happy just hanging out together. You can see how it goes.
