Advice on fully-flighted birds going to a hotel?

I am stressing out so much. In a couple weeks Patchy is going to have to be in a parrot hotel for 5 days. The boarding program is with the shop we purchased him from and I completely trust those ladies but I do not trust Patches. Last time he was there he was still clipped and managed to somehow escape his boarding cage over 5x. Now he's fully flighted and all I can imagine is a call from the store telling me he escaped and flew away. I ended up buying lobster clips and I'm going to put them on all the doors, including the food doors (which is how he escaped last time) but I can totally imagine them exchanging food and him crawling out.... ugh. How are y'all boarding your fully flighted birds? I don't trust friends to take him as they don't have bird experience...

I'm also making a sign that I will stick on his cage to remind them that he is an evil mastermind escape artist. I try and take him with me as much as possible when I travel but this time the logistics just won't work out.

I have seen warnings about those kinds of clips with the birds getting stuck on them. some mention that they get stuck behind the lower beak where it meets skin

Oh my gosh really? Ok I'll buy some others. Maybe the screw ones that come with toys would work better? I thought they would be harder to undo then the screw ones.

carabiners have similar problems. I just did a search, this might be the post I remember.
As I stated there - I use padlocks. buy a set that uses the same key and have extras made and hung off the cage.
carabiners as locks

When I read the title - my warped mind saw Patchy with a suitcase and a map - headed out on holiday.
I think the idea of locks with keys or combinations is probably the safest (unless Patchy has been reading up on safecracking.) Which I get the impression is not impossible.:wacky:
