Just reading this thread. Both birds are so pretty! Happy they are buds, and love their names!

This evening Peppy and Zippy had a squabble. Sizing up each other, peeking at each other's beaks.

Now they aren't sleeping next to each other. I think Peppy has gotten possessive of the natural branch knot, it has a bit of an indent in it...sorta comfy?
I will try a new branch tomorrow.

They have been getting on so well. I feel bad that they aren't on night snuggle terms. It has been hot and today and it was a bit humid so...maybe it was just the weather...but not sure.

Hopefully changing up the perch will be enough.

Awww :(
I hope switching the perch works, it would be a shame for them to fall out.

This is so sweet! Somehow I missed this post originally, but am happy I saw it today. Zippy and Peppy are adorable and it’s wonderful they now have a home with you
I hope they go back to being BFF’s- I can say with my 2 budgies there are days they bicker over one thing or another and that night they will not sleep up against each other as usual. They always make up eventually though, and are back to cuddling as usual. I hope the same for Zippy &Peppy...and please keep the pics coming :cheer:

They like to sleep in nests.

I haven't updated on Peppy and Zippy's adventures in awhile.

Zippy singing me a song :xflove: Also whilst I am posting this is has landed behind me and he singing to me again.

Peppy is a little afraid of the shower, but for some reason he always lands there just to scare himself.

Pi does fine with the finches in free flight common area, so he thought it would be a good idea to photo bomb.

When I had finches decades ago I didn't know they could be outside the cage. I thought I'd never be able to catch them. I'm sorry I didn't try. I just love these pictures of your free range cuties.

Yeah they aren't hand tame. They return to the cage when they are ready, hungry or tired. :)

Also to be fair finches run out of energy really quickly so even if you needed to catch them they slow down after only a short burst.
