Hi everyone!!!! Okay, so it’s been about 3 months since I lost my Sonny bird. He was a cockatiel. I currently have a male budgie and a male lovebird. I was just wondering if I got a baby GCC to my flock if they would be able to interact with each other? We let our birds free-roam 10 AM-10 PM (someone is always home) and are always supervised while they are out. Thanks guys!! :grouphug2:

I know it depends on the bird but I have GCC and budgies, the GCC will try and attack them so they aren't allowed out together. Their beaks can do a lot of damage.

Sorry to hear about sonny.

It depends on the personality but it only takes an instance for a severe injury. I would recommend opposite sides of the room. There are others who have not had a problem in the past. I am sorry for your loss.

It depends on the birds and their personalities. Lovebirds are known for not getting along well with most other birds; there's the possibility that if the lovebird is bonded to the budgie that it might be aggressive to a new conure. However, if they all got along well when you had the cockatiel, that might not be an issue.
I don't think a GCC would be any more likely to cause an issue than any other bird. They aren't too much bigger, they are generally-bird friendly. Of course every bird's different, and a GCC would be physically capable of hurting a budgie, and maybe even a lovebird. My GCC is very gentle and nice to other birds, even those she doesn't like much, and I'd have no issue with her being around a budgie or lovebird, but I also know some people have GCC's who might bite a smaller bird.
