if yearly xrays would be good to make sure nothing is getting ingested and causing blockage.
Hmmm That's an interesting idea. Most of mine have rope perches and boings. The birdroom has a boing hanging from the ceiling. Maybe my birds should have annual xrays for this.

What about rawhide? Or straws? Does anybody know? My pionus chewed through her plastic chain with plastic wheels and slats by constantly scraping them. UhOh.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Peanut was beautiful and you did everything you could to save him and I'm sorry you didn't get to say goodbye.

It makes me wonder if those fleece preeners would be safe or not.

I guess one thing though is I'd be concerned about frequent x-rays leading to more cancer in birds. x.x

I'm going to replace what's left of their rope perches now. They love to shred the ends. Thank you for this message to us all.

I am so sorry for your loss... Pilo was chewing on his trampoline bed only just last week and I tossed it out immediately, replacing it with a seagrass bed and hut! He still isn't too keen on it yet, but its not worth the risk!

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to read Peanuts story and leave kind comments, it means a lot.

It's been a rough year for me and losing Peanut was one of the worst things but hopefully my experience can help others avoid the same.
