I believe Milton knows just when we need cheering up by commenting on something...example upcoming...

We were getting ready to go to the store this morning (around 6:30ish) and it was pouring rain...but 68 degrees. So, I put a jacket and a hat on...wife comes in and says, "It's raining hard out"...so I said yep, it's real wet out there. This followed..

Milton: "WET THERE?"

Me: Yes, Bird...it's wet out there.

Milton: "IT RAIN WET THERE"....

Me: Yes, it's rain wet...

Milton: "I WANNA WET!"

Me: You can't go out in the rain, Bird...

Milton: "YOU BAD DAD ...WANNA WET NOW!"

Me: You have to wait until I get home...

Milton: "YOU BAD...WANNA WET NOW"... (goes over and tips water bowl over...then pulls phone book down on top of the mostly empty bowl)

Me: Nice touch with the phone book...you'll get wet when I get back...

Yes, he got his WET (and a dry phone book) when we got back...and dried ourselves off...;)

I was so happy I got to hear him talk as much as I did when I was there. He's always talked around me some but it was definitely more this time.

The more he gets used to you the more he'll talk with you. ;)

Like you said before, he did interact with you much more than before...when you reacted with calm, cool energy, he responded...I'm pleased! :)

I'm sure now the problem will be to get him to stop talking to you @sunnysmom
