So my neighbor downstairs died recently and his flat is being gutted ready for fumigation. The flats all have cheap front doors and drafts get through them as well as smells from the communal area. Th birds are in my living room with the living room door shut I think it might serve as an adequate shield from any gasses/chemicals from the communal area some may seep into the hallway.

I'm very worried now that when they fumigate the guys flat they might decide to spray a load into the communal areas and might be deadly for pet birds if any were to get into my flat?

Does anybody have any knowledge of fumigation's?

This sounds very poisonous. I'd consult a pest control specialist if your landlord won't tell you what they're using.

Meanwhile, I've used masking tape to seal my door against noxious fumes (drugs). I don't know if this would help with fumigation though...
