Okay, yes that usually indicates frustration or being mad at something. Georgie does this to occasionally, so my earlier post on your thread should help your mind to ease.

Thanks for sharing a video. The video definitely confirmed that he does the same thing that Georgie does. Hopefully the reasons I listed is what is triggering the behavior for your bird.
Btw: he is a very handsome cockatiel!

Firstly I have to say that he is absolutely adorable! So cute! I can't play the audio cos my husband is asleep currently, but it looks similar to what Jeff does on occasion too. And I don't get the impression that your lovely bird is sick.

It might be worth observing the approximate time of day and what he does before/after. If you don't find any possible source of frustration then it could very well be a form of "tapping", just less obvious than other tiels!

For me, I am pretty sure Jeff's isn't frustration as his is so fixed in his daily singing routine, and there are no apparent triggers for it.

Now you have a Youtube channel you can post as many videos of him as you want!

He’s adorable, but he seems frustrated. What size cage is he in? It looks like he needs a larger cage and more toys. This is Sunsets “vacation” cage, but she has one just like it at home only with more toys. Niko and Cappuccino share one this size. Your bird will be much happier in a bigger cage.
