This is my first post so sorry if in wrong place
My question is if I have 2 breeding pairs of parrotlets next to each other separate cages they can see each other but no contact between bars
Will they still breed

I've seen some parrotlet breeders keep pairs adjacent, but there are a ton of other factors. Only the birds know, even if you provide ideal conditions.

Hi Phil, I’m pretty sure none of the members here are parrotlet breeders. Read this older post on the good, bad and ugly about them. Pay particular attention to “Mate Aggression”. They can be difficult to breed successfully…. Especially if they can view other breeding pairs and are known to kill their mates in some situations. They also tend to nest too frequently causing health issues to the hen along with egg laying issues.
