Strolling the yard
I got Jaiden on 12/08/2020, and today marks the 1st anniversary of that event.
I got her after upgrading Kosiek's cage, doing research on AA and getting advice from my stepsister that I should get him a second bird for company (since we travel a lot) to prevent Kosiek from plucking his feathers.
I dug up some photos of Jaiden from the day we brought her home (don't mind the cage-in-a-cage solution, the vet who told us to do this is not an avian vet and my parents never asked her for bird advice before, we now go to an avian vet in Białystok for advice):
This one I find particularly wholesome, as it's Kosiek singing for Jaiden after they met through the bars!
This is the first photo I took of our sweet pair of tiels after they were allowed to interact:
And here are they now, in the aviary I set up in my garden!
My friend made this piece of art as a small gotcha day gift for Jaiden!
I'm grateful that I got Jaiden. She's such a pretty bird!
Now, some bonus facts about her:
- Jaiden is a female pied cockatiel, although some may assume she's a pearl cockatiel.
- I named Jaiden after Jaiden Animations
- While Kosiek will try to fly when let out of the cage, Jaiden is the 'walker' - she'll land on the floor and just walk around!
