This is such a big forum that I can't always read all the posts that I want to, and end up going away from keyboard. When I come back, all the new posts are marked as "read," which I find somewhat annoying. As I understand it, this time-out session can only be made for an X-Amount of time and cannot be extended beyond that limit (15-45 mins?). Am I correct in this?
Also, I wasn't sure if the current owners are aware of the new IP Board, but thought I'd mention it if AA is ever interested in changing forum layouts. There are quite a few differences, how it works in the admin/moderator pages does differ (you can mark a member as spam and it deletes all their posts [all posts go into a "Queue"], plus ads information to the StopForumSpam website - which helps everyone who uses the IP Board), and it gets rid of that annoying New Post Time-Outs. Forums can either be individually marked as read, or the entire forum can be marked as read. Two of the other forums that I visit have upgraded from the PHP/BBC forums to the IPBoard ones, and I've got to say, it's gotten rid of many of the problems we were having on the old format due to upgrades not being compatible with the rest of the forum!
So, just putting this out there in case AA is ever interested in changing the forum!
