Well it is just till he gets settled and I move back to my home but believe it or not even though Micky has his clipped he can go a good ten feet from above my shoulder to the ground and I exercise him daily he beats his wings so hard . Think ill do the same for Mugs ill give him a bit though . I am just trying to figure out how I am going to get him in carrier for visit he did not like it much when his old parront did it maybe some bribery maybe almond or cracker just not my finger is all I ask... Believe me I would love to have my birds flighted just can not do it with mom leaving doors open at my home I have a man cave all sealed up ready for decorating birdie style.

Got some more pics of Mugsey tonight while on his new playgym.

My camera does not do him Justice but as you see is comming around. I did notice he was aggressive around his cage could be him just settling in and wants some him space. But he was in cage for 8 hours while I was at work . Gave him first hour when I came home which I know he liked I had him perched on my finger while I talked and reasured him. Step up a few times. SO ill give this thread a rest for a bit and let you guys know of major breakthroughs.

Gorgeous! When you need to put him in carrier, try putting him in tail first. Then, after vet visit, you can show him, through positive reinforcement, that good things can happen when he goes into his carrier (treats, peekaboo, etc.)

Oh my god guys I swear Mugsey has eight arms I tried to get him in carrier and his beek his wings his feet said no way. I finally got him in and he didnt even hint he wanted to bite. BUT when I got carrier in car I noticed it had no perch so I let him out and he perched on my finger for whole ride him and his needle talons that her held me with his death grip . So I tried to get him to go onto shoulder no dice he I don't think has ever been on a shoulder so I did the finger switch dance to whole half hour drive. In his cage he is aggressive on his playpen he looks like he is in constant attack mode on my finger he lets me rub his face rub his beak, rub his back give him kisses as a matter of fact on way home I got him on my shoulder and he fell sleep . So I think the best treatment for that is some basic training becasue it looks like he has never had any now I know why the daughter of owner was so afraid of him poor guy. So his vet visit went well but he was looking a little feather ruffed I told the doc I had begun switch over to Harrison's pellet food from his seed. AND the doc believes the twitching is his own little quark nothing shows any kind of sickness.
