when my new baby arrives

she has apparently mainly been eating pellets (with small amounts of apple). I know a lot of people who like to bond with their birds by feeding some warm oatmeal or stuff at night. If I do that with my new baby when she arrives, will that make her regress and want to be handfed again instead of eating her pellets and being ready to hopefully start being introduced to lots of good veggies and fruits? Thanks.

well, my caique breeder expressly told me not to handfeed after my caiques arrived as she had abundance weaned them and did not want them to regress....
So i followed her instructions and didn't.
But if they had acted hungry and were crying I would have handfed them....
