Default Rules for PICTURE POSTING

So as to remedy a mix/match of where pics are being posted here is a clarification in hopes of making it easier for everyone.

Around the Neighborhood: For family pics, vacations, holiday pics, etc. not bird related. Videos are welcome here also.

Shutterbug Street
: For those who have a skill with the camera and want to share and for those who want to learn. This is not for regular pics of our birds, other animals or family/vacation pics.

Other Than Feathers Speedway: Put your other pet pics and videos here.

Feathered Photos Fairway: Put pics and videos of your birds here.

Pics and videos can also be put in the Species Speedway Forums as per species.

but what if it is of a other animal/human member but it is for the shutter bug section - If that makes sense?

example: I take pics of the kids and the dog and wild animals, and use certain settings Like Macro For the shutterbug section to get tips, hints etc. on how to take the picture better

would things like that Qualify for that section? or not?

I'm wondering the same thing. I have very many good macro pics that I post in Shutterbugs becayse the whiskers are good examples of the high detail you get in macro photography

I think that is fine to put those in the shutterbug section. Correct me if I am wrong Marie.

Is this your own perceived skill? lol
I just know that some people feel that they have taken a really "neat" photo and want to share the photo in general, i.e. of a flower - even if it's not an "award winning" shot and the skill may not be highly developed, is it still ok to post on that forum? I just worry that people might shy away from posting at all if they feel they aren't good enough?

I get the difference though if we want to share our trip somewhere, and share it in Around the Neighborhood - but if we are sharing the photos because we are proud of the photos, not necessarily caring about the experience (hiking trip, cat playing, etc) for the thread, would the Shutterbug Street be the right place?

Oh no....I'm making it more confusing. If the pic is one you are posting for the sake of picture taking than by all means post it in Shutterbugs. It doesn't matter what the subject is.

All the above examples go in Shutterbug St. Members' own perceived picture taking skills is what will add a lot of fun to the forum and sharing tips back and forth helps everyone.

Ok...so if I moved any pics out that you want back, just PM me and I'll put them back. (Boy, trying to help and they walk all over me....)
