You know Carole,I owe you an apology. What a moron I am, first off I am trying to kill your fish with kindness and the wrong type of salt and I dont even ask how YOU are feeling. Please excuse my manners. I read epsom salts will help draw it out as opposed to table salt which will add to the bloat, petfish.net I think it was, its good for the fish but is somewhat stressful so it suggested a coupe of dips per day and the fish will show fast improvement. a good read and again I'm sorry, I hope I'm not becoming one of those people I cant stand cause I dont know how well that would work out.

Thanks everyone. I am still a bit under the weather. Zen is still prone on his side.:(
James, it's ok..I only use aquarium salt that is good for freshwater use.;)
I am an old woman who has kept fish long before you probably were swimming.
I have started adding a bit of tea made from Indian Almond leaf. Tomorrow we will try a pea or two.

I have some good news!:dance4: Today, I captured Zen in a net. I put the net and set it at the top of the tank, with the handle resting on top, so he was only in a few inches of water. A few hours later I fed him some live worms. He was upright all day, resting in the net. I just let him loose for a little bit, and he is doing about 90% better! I think keeping him in the net has flipped his swim bladder back over as it should be. I just put him back in the net, and will keep him there on and off for the next few days. But this is very very promising!
