Zen Is Almost All Healed! Pics and Video

Zen has made nearly a full recovery and is now more active. He had a bad cut when he arrived from Thailand, and shortly after he blew all of his fins.
He is looking so handsome again.

Ginger, I did make a lid for it. It's not pretty, but it's functional.

Thank you Leslie! That means they all just peel off in shreds. Sometimes it is said they do not recover from this. A secondary bacterial infection can set in. The new things I am doing are keeping a little 'tea' made from Indian almond leaves in his tank, and using a product by Seachem that remineralizes the RO water I use.

You almost make me want to try a betta...they are so peaceful looking in the tank. What size tank is that? I am thinking perhaps on my hutch in the dining room...hmmm....just thinking.....lol

It is a 5 gallon Fluval Chi. It is so cool, with the waterfall. Right up my alley.

No it does not. I made it because if you do not have one, your fish can wind up like a french fry in the couch.

Actually, that isn't exactly true. There are some fish..like stone fish, angler fish, mudskippers...who lie around, or walk around. They are not likely to be hopping out of your tank. They might crawl out though..
