So the good news is, she passed the egg, the bad news is she's still limping. She looks good otherwise. I don't know if we should wait to take her and see if she improves. I'm concerned that she will need to be anesthetized for them to see what is wrong, which is dangerous. Also do we take her eggs with her and Trinket, or do we leave one or both at home?

Glad she passed the egg okay. I am not sure about your other questions though, if she seems alright, maybe you could wait it out until the vet appointment, I will leave this to others to answer. I hope the limp is not anything serious, good thoughts coming yours and Zamir’s way. :hug8:

I don't have any advice to offer. But I'm glad to hear she passed the egg and I hope that she's going to be ok. :hug8:

Sending positive energy for Zamir :hug8: Hopefully, now that the egg has passed, her leg will go back to normal.  I would keep an eye on her tho as, from what I've just read, it sounds like limping is associated with egg binding rather than egg laying in general

I would actually take the eggs with you....also you can buy false eggs on line birdsupplynh.com...you can buy false tiel eggs and as they are approx same size, they will fool them..in case one breaks..you do not want her laying to replace..always great to have on hand...all eggs must be same color and same size or she is lacking in calcium..make sure she has a supply of cuttlebone readily available and if necessary you can give her a calcium supplement like calci boost..I find calci boost is the best as they cannot avoid drinking their water & you put calci boost in the water...sometimes after an egg binding episode it takes them a couple of days to recover their mobility fully..like your leg falling asleep..it takes a while to get in the swing of things again...but I would still have the vet examine her.

Were off to the vets, taking the eggies with us. Anne they are fake, we take the real one's out ASAP. Please pray for us as we try to get her and her eggs in the travel cage. Just think of the Jaw's theme.
