Sorry for your loss. Budgies are very sweet little birdies and yes even though they are $20 they are a living creature that gives and receives love. He at least was with someone that loved him when he passed.

I'm so sorry... I know exactly how much this hurts. I had my beautiful first budgie for only a week before this happened to him. It's such a terrible thing because you fall so deeply in love with these little birds so fast. I called in to work and my boss understood and let me have the day off. Probably going to spend my day with Alder. Even though she didn't like Zackie, she can still tell when something's wrong, and I don't want her to stress out even more over me closing myself off.
Again, thank you all. I'm hoping I'll be okay to go to work tomorrow. Dad suggested I bring home Zaxl's old mate from the store, but I don't think I'm ready.
