Your signature is __ lines too long.

I am trying to edit my existing signature and every time I get the same message. I am actually shortening my signature and have tried removing blank lines, but it still won't save. Do I really have to cram it all into 1 line when the computer seems to like my current signature just fine?

I don't know how many pixels high it is or how to tell, but many members with picture signatures are much larger than my text one.

Aaack! I just went back in to see how many lines tall my signature is. Without changing anything I clicked "save changes" and it said my signature is 6 lines too long. So I counted & it is only 6 lines.

So does that mean I have a 0-line limit? What an I doing wrong?

This happened to me the other day. I went back and edited again later and it finally worked.

It's probably the rainbow text, you might not see it in the WYSIWYG preview thing but it adds a lot of length to your siggy's actual BBcode. Otherwise keep trying lol

Okay, with the "undo" button in mind, I did try erasing my entire signature & then saving and it was still 1 line too long!

Have you tried going into the code editor in your signature (wrench & page icon at the top right)? There might be a lot of unnecessary code from what you tried to delete. If you can't figure out what is extra, you can select all (CTRL-a), delete it all and start over. The rainbow font, as Ry mentioned, would add a lot of extra code that the system might interpret as extra content, as it would be many lines of code.

I cleared your sig code, it was huge with all the color changes.

The only times I've ever seen a code page was an accident when I've pressed the wrong buttons & I've quickly "x"'d out.

Poor Buzzy hates the camera. Besides, This whole thread is because I couldn't figure out a TEXT signature. I'd hate to think what would happen if I tried pictures.

I had that same problem! It would be maybe 3-4 lines long and it said I couldn't do it!

Try back spacing to the very top . Then start you edit/ signature
