There are a couple that land on our balcony with broken beaks we are suspicious about them being PBFD victims so wash the balcony down with F10.
With the lorikeets as they are nectar eaters their main food is wet and obtained via their brush tongue so ones with beak problems are not as impacted as seed eating parrots. They adapt really well and can continue to get a diet that fulfils their needs.
Their gizzard is normally used to crush the fruit to get the juice and not much crush power is required so the little mite above will be doing great in the wild.
You might want to get your hands on some wild lorikeet wet mix to treat them to or for the one with the beak problem crush up a bit of the fruit for ease of access with the tongue to the juices.
Great piccies.
