So please let us know what the vet has discovered is wrong with your dear cat. So often our fears are unfounded and we can breathe again once it has been sorted. Do so hope this will be the case with your dear cat.

I hope Captain is okay. I was worried when I started reading the thread because cats who aren't taking in their normal intake of food from not eating and/or vomiting are so prone to hepatic lipidosis(fatty liver disease) especially overweight cats. Their bodies start to metabolize their fat stores which cat livers can not handle. I had a cat who developed it pretty quickly after going off his food and he wasn't overweight. I hope they are able to turn him around pretty quickly. My thoughts are with you and him.
