I have known you a very long time Cynthia. You are a great, well respected Bird owner. It's not everyday that someone can do what you did, but sometimes it has to be done.

I commend you and I console you for giving him up. Hugs Lady! :hug8:

@Cynthia & Percy My heart hurts for you. I know you still miss Percy, he was your special bird and you love him still. I still miss Hank terribly and he has been dead for more than six years now. You know what - we will always miss them and there will always be some sadness.

Sending hugs and understanding. I think most of us have a hole in our hearts for a bird that will not be with us any more that was so loved. I am sorry you had to do this, but know that he is in good hands.

We never stop missing the ones we have loved and lost. :sadhug2: Grief is just the price of love.

Cynthia, Percy looks happy & healthy! I believe that giving a pet up because you believe it's what is the very best for them, is the hardest but biggest heart thing an parrent\owner can do for companion/pet. I'm so glad you're still getting updates. Missing them never goes away, but time makes the missing a little easier.

Your  is gianormous! You did a wonderfully loving thing.
