I'm sorry. Heart disease Is final, no matter how long it takes. Lola has a great heart now and can do whatever she wants. Fly high and have a blast little Lola.
...and he would always yell the loudest when I came in the room or something made him angry. He really didn't come out of his shell until we got him on heart and pain meds. Several months ago I thought it was time to let him go but then asked Dr. O if we could try pain meds. Complete turnaround...so we knew time was limited but we gave him some extra time and happiness.
Lola was only supposedly five? The breeder "getting rid of his breeding stock" said they were all around 2 years old. He lived with me for three (well he was adopted but came back +1 ...Moki). But the breeder's sunflower seed/corn diet killed him. His arteries on the ultrasound were white and his heart didn't pump correctly. He had seizures there for awhile and Dr. O thought he had a deep bacterial infection we weren't getting and put him on a long dose of antibiotics. That was in Jan/Feb...no seizures since then.
Thank goodness the long dose antibiotics finally helped. I can't believe a "breeder" could feed a diet like that. The damage from his past couldn't be undone, but you sure did give him happiness he would never have known without you. Thank you for giving him a happy life no matter how brief.
And thank you for sharing that adorable video. I love his call and his fluffy self.
