Cockatielmamaw
Strolling the yard
Ok I now have two big cages fully equipped with 5 happy healthy cockatiels. Recently I noticed my yellow female was allowing my. New male, buddy to mate her. But my Sammy loves Sundance( the big yellow female) He also mates with her and pays strict attention to the nesting box all day. First of all, yes I want babies. Secondly, I have people waiting for their little tame baby. Ok, my dilemma is, how do I know which male is her mate? She loves and accepts both. So now I have poor Sammy in the other cage to see how Sundance will do with buddy. He looks so sad. But he is my youngest at about one year old now. I have raised babies from just out of the egg for all of you who will ask if I know what I'm getting into, yes I do. Sweetie went to the bird vet and it appears that her under wing plucking was due to a stopped up oil gland. She is doing great. My intention is to record every step of my new babies to come. In excited!
