Where to find a possible soft collar to stop lovebird plucking?

Hi

I have been dealing with an ongoing problem with my 2.5 yr old male peachface lovebird plucking feathers around his NECK only. Have had him tested for numerous diseases, different medications tried, etc and nothing has helped. Have been back and forth to the avian vet six times this year. Vet believes he started an itch/scratch cycle months ago and now we can't seem to break it. Since the feathers being plucked are on his neck I need to find something soft that will not agitate the area. I thought I saw some soft material collars before, but can't seem to find them again. Any help/tips is much appreciated. Thank you!

Yup parrot petals are cute and effective. Let us know how you make out please. It's not easy to get a little bird used to collars so go slowly.

Hi, I am seeing your lovebird plucking his feather around his neck? is he OK now?
My lovebird is a female and she is 2.5 years old, she started to plucking her neck feather 2 months ago, I took her to the vet and vet asked to monitor for a while.
seems what you have described very similar with mine.
How are your lovebird doing now?

This member has not been online since June 2019, I don't think you will get a response.

She won't get email if someone replied to the thread? :(
Depends on what settings they chose.
May be a good idea to start your own thread, there’s bound to be others with similar experiences

How do you know that it is safe to use for birds? I’ve never heard this before

children can eat/put there fingers in there mouth with this med, its not toxic. I use it all the time with my breeding birds, sometimes the parrents bite/pluk there young baby's. Than i put it on the young birds, not always it helps, but many times it will

If it’s the one I’m familiar with I personally would not use it on a bird without vets say so.
Actually, tbh I would even double question my vet if they told me to use it.
Things that are non toxic to humans are not always non toxic to birds. There is at least alcohol in the one I’m familiar with.

I don’t think the use of it for birds should be encouraged unless from a vet.

The nail biting remedies I've read the ingredients of say not to use it on children under 3, which means to me it's not safe for birds.
