When do you water your bird/s ????

I'm lucky in that my birds keep their water dishes pretty clean.
I change them daily and look at them in the evening to see if they need to be done again.
It's part of a mental check list.
Now I have to check and make sure that the toys are all still hanging in one of my cages.
My blue throated macaw likes to have everything drop to the floor of the cage.
He even drops his swing. Doesn't seem to bother him. If he wants to swing he just swings from the top of the cage with his feet.

We have a drinking fountain so the birds always have access to water.

I've been looking into those... what kind do you have? There's some serious love of plastic chewing around here and I'm not sure how it would hold up if not made from sheet metal! (Anything to help with the constant soup "problem" that we have! He only drinks fresh water but loves to make soup... no matter how many times I explain that it will be cleaner without dunking, he just keeps right on with soaking everything small enough to carry, drag or drop.:wideyed:)
