When do I become a true member?

When you like a post, it will always show on your screen as "you like this" but other people will see that "conmom likes this". Is that what you are referring to?

That is what it seems like. If you are not signed in, and you view a post you liked, it will say "name liked this", but when signed in you won't see it say your name then 'liked this'.

It is kind of hard to explain without getting too confusing.

That's right, when you like a post it will say 'you' when you view it. Everyone else sees your name. You also cannot like your own post and your like will always be the first one listed that you see. You're a true member the day you register. The only difference is you don't get PM privileges till you have 20 posts.

Really, it is no big deal. The mods and admin are just asking you to phrase something different or to not rain on someone's parade or make someone feel bad or worse than they already feel. We are all prone to negative feedback when we ourselves are feeling down and can give a negative response to someone who is seeking positive reinforcement or reassurance. The mods and Admin monitor that and I myself am happy for it. I can sometimes be a real **** when I am depressed.
