As I'm a wildlife rehabber and I have been seeing some posts about people who find injured wild birds, I thought it would be helpful to provide some resources!
What to do:
1. Find out if the animal really needs help:Found an Animal? - Appalachian Wildlife Refuge
2. Secure the animal (as long as you are able to do so safely) and put him in a cardboard box with something soft on the bottom (like a towel or blanket).
3. Call a wildlife rehabber! How to Find a Wildlife Rehabilitator : The Humane Society of the United States
(If you can't find a rehabber, or live in Maine, PM me and I'll help you out!)
