What can you say about this bird?

I found him for sale and something looks off about him. I cant adopt him. He’s too much money (1200) and I cant take in another bird, nor do I know anything about amazons. Ad says he is 8 years old and not tame. Maybe it’s just his poor feather condition?

@Nikomania I know. It breaks my heart. I wish there was a way to get him to a rescue or sanctuary. But 1200 is a lot of money.

@Tracieb He does look like one of those birds. I knew something was different about him.

Poor baby!! He's such a beautiful 'zon.
We can only hope he goes to someone who'll give him a wonderful new life. If a picture says a thousand words, these don't speak well as to his current living conditions.

I wonder if they would take less $$. It's sad to see how that bird lives and I'm hoping that's just a travel cage and not his every day cage but based on the condition of the perch and the lack of "stuff" in the cage I would say the living conditions are poor even if that is a travel cage.
Beautiful Amazon, too. Needs to be somewhere were he is loved and spoiled.

I think he's a magna or Tres Maria subspecies. Its been years since I looked up the difference. They are gorgeous amazons. He needs a bath and probably a better diet and he'd really shine.
