I saw a pilated woodpecker tonight. Well I heard it first. Unfortunately it flew away before I could get a picture.

I finally got a picture good enough to get a positive ID on Merlin of a pileated woodpecker I've been "talking" to since we moved here! I call him Later.

I admire the gumption & ingenuity of the raccoon.

Here’s a black squirrel with a red tail. There seem to be several like this in the park.
