and came back with a new betta! I used to breed them a long time ago (go to ultimatebettas.com and I'm CrowntailPrincess). Anywho, this lady was trying to return this betta she got because it killed her pleco (gee, wonder why...) but the place wouldn't take it back because it's been over 30 days and she had no receipt. So I offered to take it for her and she just gave it to me. Poor guy. He's very handsome though! He's a veiltail

He is very pretty! I wonder how a Betta kileld a pleco.. I've always had grown dwellers, dwarf froms, etc, in with my bettas... I wonder what size aquarium she had it in...

For a captive beta. Beta's in the wild live in streams and ponds, so they are not in shallow water that pet store like to believe of them:rolleyes: They are very aggressive and they need big territory in the wild, so it'd be impossible for betas to breed or even exist if they had shallow water that was less than 6" in diameter to survive in:rolleyes:

Haha yeah. I never put my bettas in something smaller than 5gal. They came from rice patties which are very large, so I try to give them the space they actually need. I'm thinking about putting in some african dwarfs
