Weird Distress Call sound?

Hi,

So recently my GCC has been making this weird cawing noise? It sounds kind of hoarse like she's got something stuck in her throat, but she can make her normal full vocal sounds. She makes this cry that sounds like a hawk but a little hoarse. Is this normal or should I get her checked out?

Perhaps a little video clip/recording could help other members give you some advice?

I can't get the sound on the video to work, but hoarseness can be a symptom of Aspergillosis or a bad infection in the throat or something stuck in the bird's throat.

Can you look down the bird's throat to see if there is redness or white spots?

Can't really see anything that seems abnormal, but her mouth is so small it makes it hard to look into.

Totally normal. I have the one green cheek but used to raise them. Vocalizations can vary from bird to bird of the same species. I can tell which of my crimson bellies are making certain sounds without looking at them too.

Great! So it's nothing to worry about then, and just a normal vocalization?
Nothing to worry about. Your GCC is having a great time with that toy ( giving it the conure heck!)... mine does it too with her bell toys.
