Video Weird Behavior

So for the past week I’ve noticed Kiwi doing this sometimes. It looks kind of like crop adjusting or something, so I’m worried that it might be some kind of crop infection (AGY?)

He makes beak grinding sounds when it happens, but it doesn’t look normal.

Anyone have any idea what this is? I’m going to try to get him an appointment at the vet soon but I’m not sure how long that will take.

I forgot to add that I’ve noticed his poops seem pretty small recently, and he poops more often.

I also just noticed his cere looks kinda weird, could there be a chance of scaly mites?

Sorry you've had to bump this so much. It does look like crop adjusting and then beak grinding. poop looks normal, I don't see any evidence of scaley mites on his cere. It's always nice to have reference photos so keep those on file. Has he eaten anything unusual in the past day or shredded any specific toy that might cause that?

No, he hasn’t eaten or played with anything new

poop looks normal

It definitely looks normal color wise, but it’s very small for some reason (usually around double the size)

Yeah I’m going to keep watching and if anything weird keeps up a few more days I’ll get him a vet appointment

If the poop looks normal but smaller to you..... is he in a cage by himself so you can monitor how much he is eating during the day?

He’s in his own cage, and seems to be eating a normal amount, but I’m going to start monitoring it more closely.
