We will miss you, Izzy

Izzy, our rooster, died suddenly last night. Yesterday he was starting to die, laying on his side and closing his eyes, and we layed our hands on him and prayed. He got up immediately and we offered him pellets and he ate willingly!! For the first time in 3 days, he ate without having to force feed him! He was our most tame rooster, picking him up with no fight, touch him everywhere and cradle him upside down in your arms like a baby. He was one of the about 11 chicks we hatches and 8 chicks were kicked out, 3 of them were out in the run, while it was pouring rain! One black chickie was pecked by everyone, and left a deep gash in his head. Iz was a great roo, caring for his ladies and respecting his dad. He tolerated us, even when we attempted to give the chickens swimming lessons. He tolerated us when we flip him around and play with his waddles. We miss and love you Isabelle!! See you soon baby. Thank you everybody, we are going to have a memorial service today and bury him next to our other pullet, Maggie.
