Dr. S? Hoping Fuzzgig is okay. I don't know what a pacman frog is but it sounds like a type of tree frog and I love those. Keeping :fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:
They're terrestrial frogs. In nature, they live on the rainforest floor.
I'll be thinking of you.
Thank you.

We just got back from the vet.

So because we haven't been there with Fuzzgig before, they took some basic info. She said that I'm doing pretty good on care, and other than the temp getting low for a bit (she said that the temp now, about 78, is good, but it's eve n better that I'm keeping him warmer.) He could probably do with a low amount of Uvb light. So she said there's a very low chance it could be kidney issues or a tumor, since he's so young.

So she said we need to give him liquid calcium orally every other day, and drip antibiotics into his skin every 3. And we're going to see her again in 3 weeks.

Also, he's gonna be on the Facebook page! *sniff* I'm so proud! You can find their page if you Google GVPH or go to the website gvph.com.

So off we go! We're gonna get some gloves to handle him with, a scale to weigh him, and a uvb light at petsmart.

I wish it was that easy to give other pets (and people) their meds! I'm sure with the warmer temp, calcium and UVB he'll be back to his old self!

And congrats on your now famous frog! :cool4:

Oh, and I forgot to mention, he bit that vet! And she said at least that means that he is active.

I got a nice fancy digital scale to weigh him, and got a dry erase calendar to mark what he gets on what days.

They also had bandaids with frogs on them! So I snagged a box of those :)

I forgot to mention, the vet said that he has fluid in his sides. We're hoping that the antibiotic will clear that up. She took what is basically a glorified flashlight and shone it o his sides, and they're filled with fluid. I had been wondering why he looked so round.

Got his first dose of calcium at home today, he took it like a champ.

Too bad they don't have "cricket flavor" for the medications. ;)

He's not a fan of crickets anyway, they stress him out. They climb all over him and poke at his eyes and chew on his toes. The calcium is easy, I just get him to open his mouth (may or may not get bitten) and squirt it in before he even knows what's happening. The antibiotic is even easier, just squirt in onto his skin and let it absorb for 5 minutes.

That’s great news.... I think. Not sure getting a frog bite is the best thing, but we’re all pulling for him to recover.

Yay!!!

:dance4::yahoo::starshower1:

He ate today!!!

I had to force it into his mouth, and I held his mouth shut for a second. But he took and he ate like he had never eaten before. I offered a second, even tried to force it, but he didn't want it.

Yay Fuzzgig! After 17 days, you finally ate! Please get better soon!
