Thank you for your kind words and support. I am so sad about it. I have been wanting to get them a new outside hutch and was planning on doing that this spring. They are kept inside in winter and they were in the inside pen this morning. I was going to do a similiar education program with the rabbits and make rabbits toys for the rescue. I just ordered rabbit toy making supplies and made some sample toys for them. I guess me and Ventura have to carry on our work in Sappo's memory.
I remember taking him outside in the spring and summer and putting them in the pen enclosure. Sometimes Sappo would hop the pen and he would make me run and catch him.
I think he just died of old age because he wasn't sick yesterday and was eating and drinking. Like I say we got him from a neighbor who had got them from a friend, so don't know how old he was when we got him.
