I can get you some well rotted sheep manure, from uncle's compost pit. Grows great veggies and flowers:-D

Even a regular old compost bin might help to annoy the manure out of her. Put it riiiiight by your property line and dump everything into the bin.

We have a big black compost bin, and if you put that baby in the sun.... :depressed:

How eco-friendly! Surely no one could be upset with anyone trying to save the environment.

I have great news!!! We're going to be able to bring in that grey after all!

Apparently the rats have gotten so bad from feeding off the scattered bird seed around his outside cage that last night one entered their home and scurried across the son's chest while he was sleeping. That is the final straw, so now we can bring him in for some rehabilitation.

Could he have picked up any diseases from the rats? I need to know what we could be dealing with. He'll be quarantined in my son's bedroom while we look for his forever home.

Perhaps there's someone in Southern California looking for a CAG in need???

Hope things work out with the Grey. Thanks for taking him/her into your home. Best to quarantine which is what you are planning to do and then have him checked by a vet. You might wind up keeping him.

I don't plan on keeping him. Already have 11 birds!
We get him tomorrow evening. That is, if he can survive the projected 107 degree heat wave enveloping the county tomorrow. From what I've heard his cage gets full sun for at least part of the day.

If I knew where he lived I'd consider it. Have to wait for my son to get off work tomorrow before he can be picked up. He's the one handling everything through his friend.
