Vitamins for Canary

So my avian vet told me to get Harrison’s Sunshine factor to help my poor canary with his vitamin problems. The only problem is that sunshine factor is made with palm oil. As an animal science major I just can’t think about hurting one animal just to help another, so I just think of getting palm oil. Any help to other vitamins that are really good for birds is very appreciated.

Harrison's Sunshine Factor comes from a farm that does not contribute to any deforestation or habitat destruction. It would be perfectly fine to use I think.
