My conures not warming up to leafy greens or any veggies at that. She loves fruit though. I was wondering if I should use those vitamin drops you can add in water? I'm unsure if it's safe or not?

1. They encourage bacterial growth in water

2. You can't be certain if they are getting too much or too little

3. Most vitamins suspended in liquid degrade quite quickly

Pellets are easier and provide more trace nutrients :)

I agree, supplements are not necessary when you feed a good diet with pellets.

Thanks for the replies, but my conure eats around her veggie pellets. I also have a seed mix I give her, as well as lafebers nutri-berries. She will eat the nutri-berries and seeds but not the pellets.

How many have you tried? I have had the best luck starting mine on Zupreem Fruity and then going to Zupreem Natural. It took my quaker about 2-4 months to start eating pellets regularly, and another 6-8 to get off of the fruity, so don't give up! To convert him, I provided pellets 24/7, and seeds twice a day for 15 mintues. I gradually reduced the amount of time seeds were available until it was only once a day for a two minutes.

My other quaker I converted by feeding Harrison's bird bread.

You can always try dried vegetable mixes, at least to get them uses to the taste.
Did you try dipping the greens in water? Sometimes they use it for a bath and start nibbling at it.
