I know that they are listed as endangered according to IUCN and listed on Appendix I of CITES meaning that there are restrictions on their sale and trade.

I don't think they are kept as pets anywhere in the US. We'd be lucky to even have them in a breeding program here. They are stunning parrots for sure.

Decided to see if I could find any for sale and I'm stunned that there are some. The Golden Cockatoo has one for sale for $1700 but since the are on the ESL, you need a permit to buy if you are not in Florida and you have to be a breeder. If you live in Florida, he can be yours!:)

"Great Companion Parrot"...with 1000 to 2500 left in the wild. I won't comment on that situation...I don't want to get in any trouble.

Also, at the same place..Palm Cockatoo...$ 14,000. Want one...sorry...out of stock...

Somehow the "add to cart" was off putting, weird. Wow, over 2 grand for a Grey.

I felt that was odd too. Plus, the discount off of the original price I have a feeling that's a scammer website

Eta* I just found their Facebook page and they really do have that Amazon (a video of it as a baby) so I take that back. It is real
