Hi, my bird got adopted 2 weeks ago, it is a 4-month-old conure and they called me today saying the bird is not feeling well, so I went to pick it up. The bird had his eyes closed and he had a white tongue and was not eating and he is sleeping. I noticed that his feathers were cut in a very aggressive way. I am planning to visit the vet tomorrow but I need advice to keep him up! I gave him boiled vegetable carrot and some water which he ate while keeping his eyes closed.

The bird has his eyes closed and he has a white tongue and was not eating and he is sleeping. I covered him to keep him warm and offered a boiled carrot in a syringe and some water which he ate with his eyes closed. I also noticed that his wings were cut in a very aggressive way. I will go see a vet tomorrow but I need immediate advice to keep him up.

Can you call the vet to get advice?

I know when birds are sick, the one thing I usually see in advice is to keep them warm and where they can conserve energy.

The other thing I saw mentioned several times was baby bird formula.

You have two threads with the same question. You can ask the admins to combine them.

I agree with the others on the other thread. Get the baby to a vet as quickly as possible. Birds hide illness. If you see it . . . .
