Upside down Ella foraging in her pretty poncho -- loving her almond joy stick

Well Ella may be a girly girl, but she can still do what she has to do even in a poncho. You know, ladies we can hike up our skirts and get to work when we have to and Ella may love wearing her pretty ponchos, but that does not stop her from getting what she wants.

I put two peanuts and some nutriberries in the almond joy stick form Blu Bird Toys and hung on her java tree. I love the look of the toy hanging on the tree. I wonder if I can get these in a natural color.

I love toys like these. I got a large one similar to the one you have, but it was jumbo sized since it was for an umbrella 'too. It had a bunch of incomplete holes though, with a shelled nut inside, and a wood disk which "locked" it in. At first it sat hanging in his cage for about 2 days, and then he must have decided to at least chew on it (it's all wood, after all!) and then realized there was food in there!

The toy was described as being refillable but um...with a cockatoo there's no way it was gonna last past one use! But I didn't mind. It was a huge block of wood and he loved tearing it apart. Kept him busy for a while, anyway. I'd like to be able to make these myself though because it wasn't cheap...that's the only downside.
