Urgent UPDATE: Valentine

Valentine didnt go today, mom went to the ER. I fell backwards yesterday on a roll of paper towels that I use for cage cleaning. I had just picked her up, put her on my chest and boom there we both went. She flew off me before we landed and got under the end table. She wasnt hurt, she just waddled out. I am calling tomorrow to see if I can get her in to see the vet. Oh, I'm okay, no broken bones, etc, just sore.

Glad you're okay! Those paper towel rolls have a way of moving all around, don't they?! Does Valentine still have diarrhea?

@Tiel Feathers Yes its still there, hasn't stopped, hope I can get in at the vets tomorrow. May have to be a work in, thats okay.

Got back from the vets at 3:30. Valentine is sick, she has a little water around her nose and when he listened to her tummy he heard a grunt. He did a gram stain and it showed infection in her gut. He explained that he uses 5 -10% as the grey area but most vets use 14% - 15%. Valentine is 5% gram positive and may have a respitory infection as well, he just wants to be on the safe side, thats why she has the Bene Bac. He gave her a 2 week antibiotic shot and sent home some Bene Bac. I have to continue watching her for a week then call him in a week to let him know how its going. So, when I brought her home she ate that raspberry like she had not eaten one before, she didnt even sling. Then she ate some dinner, now shes on her boing napping. He also said that this has nothing to do with the ABV. And mom is going to fix her dinner, I havent eaten today.

Glad she just has a slight bacterial infection! Good job catching it so early. I hope the antibiotic knocks it out quick!

Valentine took a break from napping and started eating again. Then she wanted to be near me so she and I sat in the recliner. She started preening me, giving kisses, licking my face.

UPDATE: Valentine is doing very well, she is eating very well, no diarrhea and still very clingy. I put her on her playstand today and then came back to the office. Then she started flock calling and it kept getting louder. Called back to her and she just kept calling. So I went and brought her back in the office with me and put her on her Wingdow. She got quiet as a mouse. On a funny note, she was on my shoulder tonite and I had the raspberry dish in my hand. There was a tiny bit left so she decided to lean over and get the rest. So yes, I'd say shes getting better!
