An update about Casper's trust issue's towards me. He's starting to let me get my hand much closer to him in his cage without running to the other side. I hold a millet and he wants so bad to come to me, but he's still a bit hesitant. He will walk to me, then walk away. He will constantly do this. I hum softly to him while I do this, I think he likes that. I think it makes him feel more calm and at ease. I'm hoping to have him perched on my finger soon...but on his time.

Great update! Slow and steady wins the race! Make sure you are looking away frequently when you are holding the millet.

Hi Tiel Feathers! Ive really been working with him. I have his cage right next to where I sit every day. I have a question, what is the reason I need to look away from him when I'm holding a millet for him? Thanks for your great advice!
:thankyou:

A quick answer...in many prey animals, staring- or the perception of it- can be intimidating to them...
