I want to switch Ophelia to a corn and soy-free formula to test whether her plucking problem is the result of food allergies. But I'm worried the Tropican Alternative Formula pellets might be too large for her? She's a painted conure, tiny little thing. She eats Roudybush small pellets and Zupreem fruitblend cockatiel. Can anyone give me an idea of the size of the pellets? Maybe a pellet next to a ruler or something?

Thanks!

Reason I'm asking is because the website says it's for medium to large parrots :/

Picture of a blue fronted amazon eating it. Looks like it might be too big for Ophelia :( What alternatives do I have?

Yeah I don't think the company understood me when I asked if they were coming out with a smaller size...they came out with a smaller bag but I don't see a smaller pellet. :( I haven't ordered them for the same reason.

Thanks, corn free is better than nothing I suppose... Ophelia did enjoy the Caitec Oven fresh bites last time, maybe I can try again. Too bad Roudybush discontinued their rice diet.

Maybe I can ask them again! I'll send them an email...

I haven't seen any other size but they are just the size Tika likes. Same size as Zupreem naturals cockatiel.

You could always give them a spin in the blender. Instant small ones.

Tika knows something is different. He's not so keen on them now. I'm mixing old and new. Slowly get rid of the old.
