Toy suggestions

Hi guys,
Can you give me some suggestions for canary toys?
The breeder I got him from says they don’t need any but surely they do? For mental stimulation? Even some DIY toy ideas? Things to do?

They like things they can pick and pull at.

Mine spent a few months really into chewing on a bunch of half inch by six inch long strips of colored tissue paper.

They have also played with small parakeet toys with little colorful wood pieces tied together by cotton strings.

I have a bunch of small rope bridges, and they like to chew on the sisal rope that holds those together too.

And silk flowers in the cage provided both decoration, and something else to preen.

Little squares of cardboard..stacked up and threaded together in a tower fashion. Hang it up ..he will tug at it. Egg boxes give them hours of fun too. I tear off the lid. I give both parts. I pop a few meal worms in the egg compartments.
